Xiaomi recently launched Redmi Note 9 in India. The Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max were released earlier this year. Note 9 is more kind of a low-end device. You can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 at Rs. 11,999/-.
Display and Design:-
Coming to the looks, the Redmi Note 9 looks almost similar to Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. The device has a similar color scheme and the same square camera module. The device as this price range won’t give you that premium look which you expect from a smartphone. The back of the phone is made up of glossy plastic. But on the plus side, the color and the finish make the phone fairly good at this price. On the front, you get a 6.53 inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with gorilla glass 5 and a small punch hole camera on the left.
When tested. the brightness in the indoor looks pretty good. In the case of outdoor, the max brightness is on the lower side. The fingerprint scanner is placed right below the camera. The position of the fingerprint scanner is a bit annoying but eventually, you will get used to it. Apart from that, you get the usual buttons, the volume rockers, the power button, a headphone jack, a USB-C port, and the single speaker as well.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 comes with MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. The device comes in two variants, one is 4GB LPDDR4X Ram and 64GB EMMC 5.1 storage. The second variant comes with 6GB LPDDR4X Ram and 128GB EMMC 5.1 storage. Now you might be thinking that you can get these specs in almost any mid-low-end devices but here’s the catch. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is the first device that is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. Coming to the performance the Redmi Note 9 can handle the day to day tasks with ease.
The Redmi Note 9 comes with a Quad-Camera set-up. Featuring the 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor and 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP Macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. With this camera setup, you can capture decent shots in the day time. But when it comes to low light, the device struggles a lot to keep the photos sharp, unlike any budget smartphones. Coming to the front camera, the Redmi Note 9 has a 13MP selfie camera which does a fine enough job.
Lastly, the Redmi Note 9 comes with a 5020 mAh battery. The battery performance in this device is pretty awesome, the battery lasts for a complete day. The device comes with a 22.5 W fast charger, which charges the phone from 10-100% in 2 hrs. The device also supports reverse charging so yeah, you can also use it as a power bank too.
