Nvidia RTX 3080 Benchmarks: Massive Improvement over 2080 Ti

Here are the Nvidia RTX 3080 benchmarks that appeared online. This apparently shows how much more powerful the Nvidia GeForce will be compared to the RTX 2080 Ti. The benchmark results were leaked by the Hardware leaks website. Nvidia’s rumored GeForce RTX 3000 series cards might offer a significant improvement over their predecessors.

The Hardware Leaks also said that Nvidia RTX 3080 shows the card notched up to a score of 18,257 on the benchmarking platform. The results show GPU will have a 1.935GHz boost clock and a 6GHz memory clock. The score also suggests that card might be up to 21% faster the GeForce RTX Titan Nvidia’s most powerful graphics card.

Nvidia is using the GA102 silicon for the 3080,3080 Ti and even Titan option. So it would be interesting to see which particular variant is this. According to reports, the Nvidia RTX 3080 will feature 5376 CUDA cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz. Is it a claim that it offers up to 21 TFLOPs of performance?

However it is unlikely that the 3080 Ti will actually offer 21 TFLOPs in real life. Also it is said that Nvidia RTX 3080 series would be a massive improvement over the 2080 series. Apart from this, it will also offer a tough competition to AMD’s Big Navi cards next year. And there would be faster cards at relatively lower prices.

Which GPU?

There are persistent rumors, based on that we can say that there would be at least three which will be launched. Which will be high-end RTX 300 series GPUs later this year with the GA102 chip. one with 10GB of VRAM, one with 12GB VRAM, and another one with a huge 24GB of VRAM. We can say that a 30% improvement is certainly impressive. And we can expect an even bigger gap with the higher end GA102 GPUs which will likely be very expensive.
