Motorola Razr 5G foldable phone with 8GB RAM launched

Motorola has launched its Motorola Razr 5G as a successor to its previous year’s Motorola Razr foldable phone. This current foldable phone appears with a 6.2-inch plastic OLED main display and a 48-megapixel primary camera. This mobile is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. This mobile packs a 2,800mAh battery that supports fast charging and it supports 5G connectivity.

This Motorola Razr 5G foldable phone runs on Android 10 with My UX on top. This was powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G Soc and an Adreno 620 GPU. Paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage which is non-expandable via microSD card. This mobile packs a 2,800mAh battery which supports 15W TurboPower fast charging. On one single charge, the mobile can last up to 24 hours.

This foldable mobile provides a foldable 6.2-inch plastic OLED main screen. With a resolution of 2,142×876 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21:9. This mobile features an updated hinge design that delivers a zero-gap closure. That safeguards the internal display and helps maintain the compact form factor when the mobile is folded. The company guaranteed that the mobile can withstand up to 200,000 flips.

This mobile also delivers a 2.7-inch glass OLED secondary screen with a screen resolution of 600×800 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio. This secondary screen is placed on top of the front flip panel. This enables users to quickly check out notifications, get navigation directions, reply to messages, and many more.


Coming to the camera quality, this smartphone comes with a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.7 aperture. The sensor comes with Quad Pixel technology that offers better low-light sensitivity and also supports optical image stabilization (OIS) and packs laser autofocus technology. As the primary sensor is located on the top of the secondary screen on the top flip panel, it can also be used as a selfie camera when the phone is folded.

In order to deliver high-quality video calls and selfies, the Motorola Razr 5G provides a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. This is positioned inside a notch above the primary foldable screen. Both of these cameras support full-HD video capture at 60fps or 30fps, slow-motion HD video at 240fps, and a slow-motion FHD video at 120fps.

This phone is featured with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Coming to the connectivity options, this phone comprises both 5G and 4G support, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port for charging. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Gyro, Magnetometer (compass), Ultrasonic, Proximity, Barometer, SAR and Ambient Light. There are no headphone jacks on this phone. This Motorola Razr 5G has it’s dimensions of 169.2×72.6×7.9 mm when open and 91.7×72.6×16 mm when folded and weighs about 192 grams.


This mobile is priced at USD 1,399.99 (approximately INR 1,02,000). It will be available in three color preferences Polished Graphite, Blush Gold, and Liquid Mercury. However, this mobile will be first released in China and some specific European markets. Then expected to be released in the other markets later.
